Sapphire registers Radeon RX 5500, 5550 5600, 5800, 5850 and 5900 XT graphic cards

Sapphire registers Radeon RX 5500, 5550 5600, 5800, 5850 and 5900 XT graphic cards

Actually, they registered a bunch more but I ran out of space for the topic title. Anything and everything NAVI is coming. In a few days, the RX 5700 series will be unleashed. But that didn't stop Sapphire to register a bunch of products.

Sapphire has registered trademarks for several 5000 series video cards with the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission). Where the RX 5700 (XT) is prone to be released, the new product names will represent both more expensive and cheaper models. The new names range from RX 5500 (XT) and RX 5550 (XT) to the RX 5900 (XT) and the RX 5950 (XT), with a total of 19 new versions. Funny fact; a Radeon RX 590 is also listed, this gpu has been around for a while.

Previously, three other graphics processors named Navi 12, 14 and 21 have already been spotted inside drivers for the Linux operating system. Now, AMD's partner maker Sapphire may have given yet another indication that the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT will get a set of brothers and sisters. At the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) , Sapphire has registered trademarks for a total of 20 different graphics card models in addition to the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT, incl product names from RX 590 to RX 5550 XT, RX 5800 XT and RX 5950 XT.

A 1660Ti-like card for $200-220 would be lovely.

It's nice to see that there are cards above the 5700 XT listed there, only issue i have is if the 5700 XT is a $450 card and there's an $80 difference between the XT and non-XT, then that means the pricing of anything above that would be pretty high as well... This list labels (with guesses to their prices):

5750 ($500?)
5750 XT ($550?)
5800 ($600?)
5800 XT ($650?)
5850 ($700?)
5850 XT ($750?)
5900 ($800?)
5900 XT ($850?)
5950($900?)
5950 XT ($950?)

I feel like i'm being generous about the pricing, as if all these cards do release, i feel like there'd definitely be more then just $50 between the XT and non-XT, and therefore more then $100 between the named based non-XT models, which would put it in the $1300 range, and have way, way too many products to choose from, with either very similar performance between them, or ..... i don't even know what else, no matter what, too many products.

So i'm going to assume that this is just registering what sapphire "thinks" may be products, as a possibility, rather then actually any clue as to what products will definitely be coming out by AMD.

Probably just placeholders, I don't think we'll see new Navi GPUs -other than the two 5700 variants that is- in 2019.
