Sapphire registers Radeon RX 5500, 5550 5600, 5800, 5850 and 5900 XT graphic cards

Sapphire registers Radeon RX 5500, 5550 5600, 5800, 5850 and 5900 XT graphic cards

Actually, they registered a bunch more but I ran out of space for the topic title. Anything and everything NAVI is coming. In a few days, the RX 5700 series will be unleashed. But that didn't stop Sapphire to register a bunch of products.

Sapphire has registered trademarks for several 5000 series video cards with the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission). Where the RX 5700 (XT) is prone to be released, the new product names will represent both more expensive and cheaper models. The new names range from RX 5500 (XT) and RX 5550 (XT) to the RX 5900 (XT) and the RX 5950 (XT), with a total of 19 new versions. Funny fact; a Radeon RX 590 is also listed, this gpu has been around for a while.

Previously, three other graphics processors named Navi 12, 14 and 21 have already been spotted inside drivers for the Linux operating system. Now, AMD's partner maker Sapphire may have given yet another indication that the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT will get a set of brothers and sisters. At the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) , Sapphire has registered trademarks for a total of 20 different graphics card models in addition to the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT, incl product names from RX 590 to RX 5550 XT, RX 5800 XT and RX 5950 XT.

If the rest of the lineup is inbound relatively soon (hopefully they are) then it's more important that they price this weekend's releases correctly, assuming 58xx and 59xx are higher performing than the 57xx. I'd hate to think Nvidia's eye-watering bar-raising test can be agreed by a competitor. In the end, the public will decide.

wonder if 5950XT could be the new x2 dual GPU variant to bring back dual GPU's on single card?

If I had to guess, most of these are just placeholders and aimed to either hide the real ones or Sapphire don't really know what's coming.
I think they're too many different cards. The 5700XT is (probably) the top silicon and the non XT serves to clear inventory of defective chips.
If there are any higher models, its a different GPU.
I'm more interested on smaller silicon, something to replace Polaris.

Can't wait to see the non-reference navi line-up from Sapphire. I have long been a fan of their cards.
