Samsung unveils Samsung Galaxy A9 with four cameras on the backside

Samsung unveils Samsung Galaxy A9 with four cameras on the backside

Samsung has unveiled the new Galaxy A9 smartphone. The device has no less than four cameras on the back. This means that the device has twice as many cameras as on previous recent Galaxy phones such as the S9 and Note 9.

The Galaxy A9 will be sold for 599 euros. This makes the device more expensive than previous phones that appeared in the A line. The primary camera on the back of the phone has a resolution of 24 megapixels and an aperture of f / 1.7. The phone also has a telephoto lens that can zoom in twice, with a resolution of 10 megapixels. The 8 megapixel wide-angle lens has a wider viewing angle.

Finally, the phone has a 5-megapixel portrait lens that shoots images with a low depth of field. This only makes the subject in focus. This is useful for portraits, among other things. Smartphones are processing more and more cameras in the back of their devices. A few years ago most large companies switched to two lenses behind, for different viewing angles and higher resolution. Huawei provided its P20 Pro with three cameras.

In November, the quad-camera smartphone from Samsung has to be on store shelves in the color combinations Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink. The Galaxy A9 will be yours for 599 euros.

Don't we have enough cameras on 'backsides'? :p

I wonder if the four cameras are anywhere near as good as a real camera for say 100$ less than this smartphone.

And I might be living behind the moon since I don't know who's behind that is. I know Drake though, but I know it from this more than himself:

Frankly I am relieved that you don't know that is Kim Kardashian's azz. :) There's hope for the world yet.

I guessed it was her, but I wouldn't know or care... I'm just amazed that this is the behind that's so fabled... I guess there is some hope, but it diminishes daily... means I could probably do with less than 4 cameras on the back of my smartphone.

But now I see why they need wide angle for that format, high resolution to grab every detail of her cellulite so you can sell it to the rainbow press, one to zoom in if the walled comunity keeps you at bay, and one for getting really close (before you run away quickly again). What people do just for a bit of fame, what ends up on the TV... back in the day people would have called her fat and around here, having the behind of a post man's horse.

Only 4? Make it at least 8 or 10 and then we can talk... I know the phone market is getting saturated but this is ridiculous...
