Samsung to re-release Note 7 as FE edition
Samsung is embarking on a strange move, they will bring back the Note 7 in the form of a refurbished “Fandom Edition” model, not Founders Edition or Frontier Edition - oh come on easy pun :)
The product that will hit store shelves on July 7. The Galaxy Note 7 FE will have safer components than the original Note 7 and thus a smaller battery. Samsung reportedly plans to ship as many as 400,000 Galaxy Note 7 FE smartphones there, but it's not known how many will make it to other regions, or where exactly those places might be.
Still, even if this is a limited run device, the Fandom Edition could be enough to appease fans of the original Note 7 who were forced to stop using their phones.
Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Note 7 FE in South Korea on July 7th, say sources speaking to the Wall Street Journal. The “FE” in the device’s name is said to stand for “Fandom Edition.”
It’s expected that Samsung will have at most 400,000 Galaxy Note 7 FE phones available for the three major South Korean carriers. Pricing will reportedly be below 700,000 KRW ($614 USD). Samsung has seen $5 billion in losses from the unprecedented recall. Maybe it can make some of that back with the Fandom Edition.
Would you buy a Galaxy Note 7 FE if it were offered in your country?

Would i? F no, since theyre calling it the FE.
Samsung really needs to get their **** together when it comes to betteries. I personally had my S6 Active's battery pop and swell while i was driving and charging it.
There have been plenty of other Samsung phones besides the Note 7 that have battery issues that resulted in fire or damage AND THEY WERENT RECALLED.
Someone I know has an S7 Edge thats a few months old and doesnt charge properly at all even with the original charger.
Bigly disappointed in Samsung.

I would buy it if all is well and its a good performing device.
And curious about battery performance over the previous one after using a smaller battery.

WHAT will happen IF these also catch fire?
No, really, what is Samsung going to do then?
Of course they can say as much as they wish, that they "fixed" the problem. But what happens if they actually didn't...
So, from me - it is a resounding - NO, I won't buy this phone even if it costs $200.
