Samsung shows render Galaxy Note 8
Well correction, what likely seems to be the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung has been showing and teasing the render in a tweet about Exynos 9 SoC, which also is in use for the Galaxy S8 en Galaxy S8+ zit. The render however certainly isn't one of these.
The render shows a smartphone with thin rounded edges. Word on the street is that Samsung will announce the new Note late August. The phone would get a screen similar to the Galaxy S8 sets, with an aspect ratio of 18,5:9 with a 2960x1440 pixels 6.3" screen diagonal (AMOLED).
The S8’s curved edges fit perfectly in hands of all sizes, and the premium metal and glass construction seal the deal. The new Note 8 would get a a dual camera (zoom/wide)and the typical S Pen. The Note 8 would get 6GB RAM. Thus this would be the second device after the C9 Pro be that has more than 4GB main memory. Note 8 will be powered by a relatively conservative 3300mAh battery. The €999 retail price should translate to a little over $900, given that the €799 Galaxy S8 and €899 S8+ initially sold unlocked for about $725 and $825, respectively. The briefed individual claimed that the Note 8 will be available at launch in shades of black, blue, and gold.
Reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is going to cost a whopping 999 euro. It seems year after year prices keep going upwards, in the end people simply keep buying such expensive smartphones in significant volumes. The Note 8 would be released in Late August / September.

Yeah... I have Galaxy J7 with the same battery capacity and consider it my first phone that is really comfortable and long lasting to use but mine does not have to power ~3Ghz monstrosity with many GPU cores and bigger screen and res and basic features like 5Ghz wifi etc...
Basically what i would like to see in Note 8 now is something in the range of 4500-7000mAh.
Yeah, they want to be conservative on the battery front after last years escapade which I can completely understand. A 4500-7000Mah battery would be fantastic, but then people will bitch about how thick the device would need to be. Personally I wouldn't give a rats ass how fat my phone is if it can last more than 2 days without having to run it in a battery saving mode restricting all of the technologies that make the phones so desirable in the first place.
But yeah, I can understand they want to be conservative this time to make sure this phone is reliable in the sense that this time it is not a grenade.

Welcome the 6+ " size screens but the price... I could get a 1080 Ti + basic Nokia phone which is more than my basic needs! Not like I would even do any work on it to pay for that phone...
