Download Samsung Magician 4.6, this build adds support for new SSDs and offers perf optimizations for the 840 EVO series. Samsung has limited the number of downloads per day, hence we mirrored this tool onto our own file-servers for a local download.

This version commes with the latest 840EVO firmware (EXT0DB6Q), because i installed, and i checked fireware update, and dont give me to install the new fireware, remain the old fireware (EXT0CB6Q), and say that is the latest fireware!!!

Yes, it did that to me as well. just keep rerunning it at random and eventually it will show you the latest version.

Another issue that I had was that the upgrade would fail. "Unable to upgrade firmware". I ended up having to completely uninstall the AMD SATA driver, reboot, and then let the default MS drivers install. After about 3 reboots, I ran the Magician and everything upgraded fine. I then reinstalled the AMD SATA drivers.

All is well now.

New firmware not showing for me either..... Why can't Samsung do the right thing and release the FW is a separate file....

updated two 500GB 840 EVOs without any problems this morning.
so far so good.
