Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD tested and reviewed

Samsung today released the 840 EVO SSD series, which we will review. With the EVO Samsung raises the bar though as the SSD 840 EVO was designed to deliver more speed and even better reliability. To do so Samsung had to apply a very clever trick, magically transform an MLC buffer into SLC programmable. Interesting stuff.

Hilbert, did you happen to try out the RAPID software as well? It's supposed to boost speeds by using 1GB of RAM as cache, Tom's did some tests but did not go into detail.
