Sabrent Rocket XTRM Q - A portable SSD going for 2700 MB/s

Sabrents outs a new portable storage unit with flying speeds dubbed the Rocket XTRM Q. Based on Thunderbolt 3 is can reach read speeds in an excess of 2700 MB/sec with volume sizes running upwards to 8 TB.

As you can tell from the Q in the name, this of course is QLC written NAND. But for portable storage, that's fine. Inside this Rocket XTRM-Q 8 TB resides an NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD housed bridged towards Thunderbolt 3/USB 3.2

You can connected it to Thunderbolt and get of 2.7 GB/s or 900 MB/s via USB. The housing is an aluminum casing and the product is available in capacities of 500 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB, and 8 TB with priced $170, $220, $360, $830, and $1600 respectively.

Can anyone confirm this? I'd love to eat my hands on some external storage that can crack off faster than 2GB/s especially if this is capable over USB 3.2/2 as that's what I have MEOW.

Then again my mobo does offer up thunderbolt support via an AIC right now. Just not sure if I want to spend the money for it ATM. $100 I believe which isn't shite and all, but if I don't need it ATM I'm good on it then.

Anyone confirm the speeds of this drive over USB 3.2/2?? Theoretically speaking it should be able to attain around 2.5GB/s over USB 3.2x2.

Any chance we're going to get one for review?? I'd love to see how the USB transfers fare in comparison to thunderbolt.
