AMD has released official gaming benchmark results for its upcoming 8-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, which is set to launch in April. The benchmark shows that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D outperforms Intel's Core i9-13900K by up to 24%.

Although AMD has officially positioned the Ryzen 7 7800X3D against Intel's Core i7-13700K, the benchmark results reveal its ability to outperform higher-end Intel processors, including the Core i9-13900K and the Core i9-13900KS.The Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a standard design with a single 8-core CCD with 3D V-Cache. It gives it a significant advantage over the Ryzen 7000X3D series with multi-chip modules featuring an asymmetric chiplet design. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Ryzen 9 7900X3D have two CCDs, with only one CCD featuring 3D Vertical Cache, which means it relies on software control to direct workload from games to the CCD with the 3D Vertical Cache.

AMD's benchmark results put the Ryzen 7 7800X3D ahead of the Core i9-13900K in four games, with performance gains ranging from 13% to 24%. Additionally, the new generation Ryzen 7 7800X3D outperforms the previous generation Ryzen 5800X3D by 21% to 30% in Rainbow Six Siege, Warhammer: Dawn of War III, CS:GO, and DOTA 2.

Although the benchmark results were provided by AMD and should be taken with a grain of salt, if the Ryzen 7 7800X3D performs as well as suggested, it could become one of the best-selling processors for AMD, as it outperforms Intel's Core i9-13900K, which is priced at $579, while being $130 less expensive. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is set to launch on April 6th.
