Ryzen 7 7800X3D Processor Outperforms Intel Core i9-13900K by up to 24%, According to AMD Gaming Benchmarks
AMD has released official gaming benchmark results for its upcoming 8-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, which is set to launch in April. The benchmark shows that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D outperforms Intel's Core i9-13900K by up to 24%.
Although AMD has officially positioned the Ryzen 7 7800X3D against Intel's Core i7-13700K, the benchmark results reveal its ability to outperform higher-end Intel processors, including the Core i9-13900K and the Core i9-13900KS.The Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a standard design with a single 8-core CCD with 3D V-Cache. It gives it a significant advantage over the Ryzen 7000X3D series with multi-chip modules featuring an asymmetric chiplet design. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Ryzen 9 7900X3D have two CCDs, with only one CCD featuring 3D Vertical Cache, which means it relies on software control to direct workload from games to the CCD with the 3D Vertical Cache.
AMD's benchmark results put the Ryzen 7 7800X3D ahead of the Core i9-13900K in four games, with performance gains ranging from 13% to 24%. Additionally, the new generation Ryzen 7 7800X3D outperforms the previous generation Ryzen 5800X3D by 21% to 30% in Rainbow Six Siege, Warhammer: Dawn of War III, CS:GO, and DOTA 2.
Although the benchmark results were provided by AMD and should be taken with a grain of salt, if the Ryzen 7 7800X3D performs as well as suggested, it could become one of the best-selling processors for AMD, as it outperforms Intel's Core i9-13900K, which is priced at $579, while being $130 less expensive. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is set to launch on April 6th.

Last time I checked, Idle power was 20-30w more on 7 series vs Intel. Maybe a AGESA bug tho. :p
I used 7950x for 3 months, but my 13900k and 13900ks is faster in everything, so there was no reason to keep it. 7800x3d should be a small upgrade for the gaming pc #3. That gamer has 10900k with 4700cl17 ddr4. Fortnite/overwatch gamer for my kids LOL

A smart person doesn't have their pc turned on just standing in idle for prolonged periods of time.... and in actual usage, 13900k uses stupid amounts of power, where as amd doesn't.

Stupid? I'm just gaming on 13900k and ks. I would say the people that "playing" Cinebench 24/7 is pretty stupid, but I don't care what others do....
Playing BF 2042, and cpu is drawing like 120w, and gpu is drawing 450w (4090). Cpu is 48-53c while gaming. What is actual stupid?

Have had 7800x3d+ performance since October with 13900k and 8400c34 ddr5. Nice with 20-40w lower powerdraw in games. "750w vs 720w" powerdraw from the wall is like whatever :p
