Ryzen 5000 and 3000 lead December 2020 sales records in Germany

Ryzen 5000 and 3000 lead December 2020 sales records in Germany

Over in Germany one of the biggest etailers often shares numbers. In this round, they revealed that they've sold around 40,000 CPUs in December, of which 35,000 were from AMD.

That means 83% of last month's processor sales at MindFactory were from the red team, which translates to € 12 million in profit. For its part, Intel's CPU revenue only accounted for just under € 2 million, or 14% of sales.

When you split that up, you'll actually see that several of the Ryzen 3000 are at the top, representing 54%, while the newcomers Ryzen 5000 represent 26% and the Ryzen 2000 / 3000G 18%. Surely the distribution would have been different if the new Ryzen 5000 had more stock.

The 8-core Ryzen 7 3700X was the leader, although the 6-core Ryzen 5 5600X was very close. The list continues with the Ryzen 5 3600 (XT), and a little further down, we can see that the Ryzen 9 5950X and 5900X are also gradually gaining popularity. However, their sales are still somewhat low, probably due to their limited stock.

I guess INTEL in general is a budget king now .

However i have zero regrets with 5600X and AMD platform . I was lucky with good OC sample . Will last for very long , if i ever miss CPU performance i have amazing options in the future.

yeah but you'd think amd would price an 8 core at 350 if even intel does
just cause it's faster doesn't mean price needs to go +50-60% up
if it worked that way then next 5nm 6 core would be $500.sure it'd beat a 7nm 8 core but that's not how it's supposed to go.

it's not pointless but too expensive

Wow you must be an intel fanboi to even consider that a half decent way to show how bad AMD is, they have the worlds fastest CPU why would it not be at a premium price they are there to make money not be a social experiment as a share holder am all for getting a return on my investment, on the same graph look at the Intel prices and then go back to pre 17 figures and do the same for the same period on Intel CPUs and whilst your at it look at what value they offered for the Money in terms of performance, IPC improvments per gen, Socket longevity, RAM support by the same sockets, and prices, I remember a 4 core retailing for north of £500.00 until Ryzen launched then the botties started to twitch like a bunnies nose!
