And that would be up-to 64 CPU cores per processor. AMD Epyc processors are intended for the enterprise and server market of course and seem to become a huge success story thanks to its terrific price and performance ratios against the competition.

French computer magazine Canard PC posted this tidbit on their Twitter account, the next-gen generation Epyc server processors would see 64 cores and get 256 MB of L3 cache. I would love to see a screenshot of the task manager and 128 Threads (SMT) ;-)

They have been right on more than one occasion, so this seems and deems plausible.
The upcoming processors would support up to eight DDR4 RAM banks at a speed of 3200 MT/s and get 128 PCIe Gen 4.0 lanes. With 64-cores that proc would haul the proverbial azz alright. The current Flagship Epyc 7601 processor has "32 cores and 64 MB of L3 cache.

It is currently not known when the new Epyc processors would be released. The final PCIe 4.0 spec was released last week, it might take a year or two before we'll see market penetration for that. We can only assume the new Epyc procs would be released within that very same timeline.
