NVIDIA's upcoming graphics card, the GeForce RTX 4070, may have a higher launch price than previously anticipated, according to recent rumors. The reference models will be priced at $749, which is $50 less than the launch price of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.

There are also rumors that custom versions of the RTX 4070 will be available at a higher price point of $799. These premium versions are rumored to be released on April 13th, a day after the reference models are sent out for review. The GeForce RTX 4070 would be based on the AD104 GPU, has 46 streaming multiprocessors (SMs), and 5,888 CUDA cores enabled. It features 12 GB of 21 Gbps GDDR6X memory on a 192-bit memory interface. Performance is expected to fall between the RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3080, similar to the RX 6900 XT.

It has been reported that the upcoming graphics card, the GeForce RTX 4070, is expected to have a lower total graphics power (TGP) of 200W compared to its predecessor, which had a TGP of 220W. Interestingly, the RTX 4070's core configuration is quite similar to the RTX 3070, as both feature 5888 cores, but the former houses the Ada GPU core. This additional core is expected to improve performance and enhance efficiency. The RTX 4070 is reportedly clocked at 1920 MHz base and 2475 MHz boost clocks, providing approximately 30 TFLOPs of compute power. These details offer a glimpse into the potential capabilities of the graphics card, and we await its official launch to verify its performance.
