Rumor: GeForce GTX Titan Black Edition and GTX 790

So we all know and understand that at one point Nvidia will release a Dual-GPU GeForce GTX 790 right ? Whenever that happens, I do not know for sure, maybe March e.g. CeBIT time though. It is very likely that product will get two 780 Ti GPUs e.g. full GK110 cores with 4992 Cuda Cores, 416 TMUs and 80 ROPs. It would be a beast of a card of course. Titan however now is rumored to get an update as well, the GTX Titan Black Edition.

Basically the GTX Titan Black Edition would become a new GK110 based card featuring the full 2880 Cuda cores, 240 TMUs and 48 ROPswith 6 GB memory running along a 384-bit interface. Clock frequencies are not unknown but it will get a 250W TDP and black colored Titan NVTTM cooler and the card would get full double precision enabled.

if these rumors are true, what's the point of titan black edition with that price tag? 790's specs look interesting though.

The Black Edition looks interesting for me but they really need to lower their prices because the 290/290X offer a much better value with a much better price and almost the same performance.

C´mon Nvidia do something useful and lower the prices of your cards...

So essentially the Titan Black is a re-badged 780ti with double the VRAM ?

Price of the 790 looks interesting though.
