Rumor: Cyberpunk 2077 delayed to add virtual reality support?

Cyberpunk 2077 probably gets a little more attention than it deserves, but the latest delay was a little weird alright. Rumors have been that the game was delayed to get in line with a release from NVIDIA.

But that might not be the case at all. Cyberpunk 2077 is already finished and needed a bit of polishing before release. but got postponed until November 19 , supposedly to correct bugs and ensure 'a good balance in the game'. However, a new rumor says that CD Projekt Red is has delayed due to the addition of virtual reality support.

The rumor comes from a Reddit user, who shared a photograph of a Cyberpunk 2077 press event held in China where a "KAT Walk Mini" is seen, a device that allows us to walk in real life and that this transfer inside virtual reality games. Apparently, during the event the invited members were able to test the game for more than 4 hours, although it does not confirm whether or not they used virtual reality equipment.

If the rumor is true (and it is tagged as a loose rumor), we will likely see the announcement of this feature at Cyberpunk 2077's Night City Wire event taking place this Thursday. During this event, CD Projekt Red will show us new gameplay content never seen before, and will announce new details of the game that until now are not publicly known. Will VR be one of them? We will find out on Thursday.

As am i, hail from South Carolina (born there), but obviously we didn't go to the same school, Poland and Russia are not the same countries Hoss, take a note of that for future reference, and no, You evidently DO NOT care.

You know what I think of when it comes to Russia? Sylvester Stallone kicked their asses in Rocky IV. Yes, its a freakin movie and I realize that and we love Dolph Lundgren!. I grew up watching the dudes movies. *takes a shot of vodka*

Why are you stereotyping people ? it was neither funny nor witty, just a blatant stereotype of RUSSIANS conflated with Polish (just to add salt to injury),

Vodka is Eastern Europe alcohol beverage, I wouldn't limit it to Russia. See countries that produce top quality vodka.
Yeah, there lots of pain in history of Soviet Union, I wouldn't deny that.

But my point about Vodka, is that it appears in Witcher games, since Gerald drinks vodka to get drunk. (At least in Witcher 1 and 2, those that I played)

Would be very smart of CDPR. VR's time has finally come I am telling you. The Oculus Quest is the catalyst and the Quest 2 will breakout. Everyone I know wants one. Would make CDPR heroes of VR community and will be an auto-buy like Half Life for anyone. Carmack another genius he took Palmer Luckeys unrefined kernel and pushed boldly. Oculus Link and turning it into both a wireless PC VR headset and mobile and both of relatively high quality with no cameras and confusing garbage to turn off most people and at an affordable price I tell you now they did it. its here.

This short delay shouldn't be a big issue, not as big as delaying it the first time for multiple months.
On VR as the glorified saviour and selling point, not going to happen. Market's way too small. Maybe for consoles and their VR stuff but PC VR is a niche product and probably will remain one until better and cheaper headsets become a thing.

I think it's more likely bug fixing and / or getting ready for next gen consoles, not so much VR.
