Rumor: Cyberpunk 2077 delayed to add virtual reality support?

Rumor: Cyberpunk 2077 delayed to add virtual reality support?

Cyberpunk 2077 probably gets a little more attention than it deserves, but the latest delay was a little weird alright. Rumors have been that the game was delayed to get in line with a release from NVIDIA.

But that might not be the case at all. Cyberpunk 2077 is already finished and needed a bit of polishing before release. but got postponed until November 19 , supposedly to correct bugs and ensure 'a good balance in the game'. However, a new rumor says that CD Projekt Red is has delayed due to the addition of virtual reality support.

The rumor comes from a Reddit user, who shared a photograph of a Cyberpunk 2077 press event held in China where a "KAT Walk Mini" is seen, a device that allows us to walk in real life and that this transfer inside virtual reality games. Apparently, during the event the invited members were able to test the game for more than 4 hours, although it does not confirm whether or not they used virtual reality equipment.

If the rumor is true (and it is tagged as a loose rumor), we will likely see the announcement of this feature at Cyberpunk 2077's Night City Wire event taking place this Thursday. During this event, CD Projekt Red will show us new gameplay content never seen before, and will announce new details of the game that until now are not publicly known. Will VR be one of them? We will find out on Thursday.

Seems a bit odd. Given the size and scope of the game I would have thought it would take a lot longer to add full VR support. Especially given that VR support was not intended from the out set and then you add on the fact that they are delaying what will no doubt turn out to be a massive seller to add support for what is still a very small market share? Sounds like spit balling! I am sticking with the delayed to match new console and gain the Black Friday / Christmas sales rush while giving them a bit more time to test and bug fix.

It's the one title that may "force" me to make a VR purchase if true!

Why are you stereotyping people ? it was neither funny nor witty, just a blatant stereotype of RUSSIANS conflated with Polish, do tell me where you hail from so i can repsond accordingly, bashing your culture while going along.
Spare no details, stereotyping works both ways mate.

Oh please, are we not allowed to have a sense of humor anymore? I'm a white redneck from middle America who drinks beer and whiskey, make fun of me, I don't care. You know why? Because I'm an adult. If you're triggered by everything then GTFO.

Do you honestly rather have unfinished game than wait a bit longer?

Let's not kid ourselves, it's finished and bug tested as thoroughly as they can do on their own. Further bugs, which there will be plenty of, will only be discovered when hundreds of thousands are playing the game. Anyone who thinks the game wasn't delayed to more coincide with console launches is one of those people that don't believe their own eyes. The people who believe there is never anything conspiratorial are dumber than the conspiracy theorists. That's like believing something scummy has literally never been planned out before.

Sure they might want more bug testing time, sure they might want to crowbar in VR, but it's more sure the new consoles are the biggest deal to them.

Just 3 weeks before their announcement of the 2nd delay they were talking about how they're 100% sure the planned launch date will happen. Gee, I wonder what could happen in mere weeks to throw off their estimates so wildly.
