Rumor: Cyberpunk 2077 delayed to add virtual reality support?

Rumor: Cyberpunk 2077 delayed to add virtual reality support?

Cyberpunk 2077 probably gets a little more attention than it deserves, but the latest delay was a little weird alright. Rumors have been that the game was delayed to get in line with a release from NVIDIA.

But that might not be the case at all. Cyberpunk 2077 is already finished and needed a bit of polishing before release. but got postponed until November 19 , supposedly to correct bugs and ensure 'a good balance in the game'. However, a new rumor says that CD Projekt Red is has delayed due to the addition of virtual reality support.

The rumor comes from a Reddit user, who shared a photograph of a Cyberpunk 2077 press event held in China where a "KAT Walk Mini" is seen, a device that allows us to walk in real life and that this transfer inside virtual reality games. Apparently, during the event the invited members were able to test the game for more than 4 hours, although it does not confirm whether or not they used virtual reality equipment.

If the rumor is true (and it is tagged as a loose rumor), we will likely see the announcement of this feature at Cyberpunk 2077's Night City Wire event taking place this Thursday. During this event, CD Projekt Red will show us new gameplay content never seen before, and will announce new details of the game that until now are not publicly known. Will VR be one of them? We will find out on Thursday.

Good procreating lord CD Projekt, just give us the damn game. Are they trying to piss of every PC gamer that has supported them since the original Witcher?

Perhaps it's so that they can release it for Stadia at the same time as for other consoles and PC :D

Likely it will just need some bug fixes and tweak few things like

True...it HAS to be godlike, revolutionary,etc...if it will be just an Deus Ex clone then thunderstruck...
There was a rumor that they had some serious performance issues - CPU's mainly were on fire both Intel/AMD but it seems now fixed - maybe those performance issues when fixed led to more bugs than can be afforded on a first day launch (Bethesda style...)
Anyway I expect this game since that great trailer (babes, bullets and explosions - everything that a good fellow wants) some years ago so it better be good or else...

That excuse seems a bit short sighted. Are they just now thinking of adding that? Probably more to it.

I don't think so.Through a contact of mine I was told that they simply can't keep up with the scope of the game, some of the employees already cancelled their planned vacations and are in full crunch mode now to iron out the bugs and to polish (no pun intended) the game.

Can you tell your contact i am interested to go full crunch to help during all week-end from today to release date ? My computer is ready to download the beta right now ! :D
I'll gladly provide them with bug reports ! :D (not kidding, they could afford a small community group to test the game under NDA agreement with some kinda of "id mask" randomly appearning all over the screen)
Lets hope previewer from press have already sent hundreds of report to help them ;)

Do you honestly rather have unfinished game than wait a bit longer?

Yes, I might even wait till December for the first or second patch.
