Rockstar Games Response to Leaked Grand Theft Auto Footage
On Monday, Rockstar Games addressed the weekend's YouTube leaks of its upcoming "Grand Theft Auto" game. Even though the studio served takedown warnings on numerous prominent news outlets, the Internet has a long memory. Smaller, non-commercial users have reposted the film on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Rockstar is currently working on the game's gameplay and is unlikely to focus on the visual polish until much later. In its statement, Rockstar said that a network intrusion caused the footage to leak to the web, but assured gamers that the leak won't affect Rockstar's online services, and have no impact in the medium-long term on games that are in development.
