Reviewers Guide for the RTX 3070 Founders Edition has been leaked

Reviewers Guide for the RTX 3070 Founders Edition has been leaked

Nvidia will release the RTX 3070 available on October 29. Samples have been seeded and along with it, NVIDIA provides a reviewers guide, almost the complete 'Reviewer's Guide' for the RTX 3070 Founders Edition has been published by Videocardz.

Nvidia mainly emphasizes what performance the card should be able to provide so that reviewers know how the card being tested should perform. The green team claims that in 'various' DirectX 12 and Vulkan games, it is on average 60% faster than the RTX 2070 (non-Super) and as fast as or faster than the RTX 2080 Ti. That would apply to both games with and without ray tracing. Nvidia also says it now officially supports av1, which should generally provide 50% to 55% better performance compared to h.264. At the same time, the image quality of this open standard must also be better than both h.264, h.265 (hecv) and vp9.

Lol you sound butt hurt you wasted your money on a 2080ti silly boy that whole series was a waste.

I dunno if he is butt hurt, but the scores shown today from the other article score a good margin below my darling 2080ti. Plus I bought my card over 2 years ago (sept 2018) for equiv. of $850USD in Aus.. was bit under $1,200AUD and has a power limit of 312w.. since raised to 338w.
After doing benchmarks with this humble Asus Dual fan card with both the 312w & 338w Power limit - the benchmarks shown today show the 3070 getting only 8324 in Port Royal.. Where Avg for a 2080 Ti without special cooling is closer to 9600 just with a i7-10700k and not 8100 as shown.. As for the rest of the scores mine beats it comfortably. Including the mighty RTX DLSS benchmark the new series are supposed to own (Average of all 2080 Ti's in Port Royal with my CPU)

I was sceptical after the YouTube video of Doom Eternal was up and those FPS. As I had just beat the game at max settings in 4k with HDR (they didn't use it.. vram?) and barely recalled it dipping under 100fps.. so ran the scene with the boss at the beginning and it was 20-30 fps faster than the worst 2080ti in history, and within 1-15fps of the 3080 the entire time :/

Leather Jacket man and Nvidia forcing independent reviews late, the RRP is non-existent, build quality is questionable and just by talking crap in the kitchen including mentioning the 3070 is better than the 2080ti .. Boom the next day Nvidia's stock rose over the 40 Billion to buy ARM.

Fact is a 2080Ti with a power limit equal to the 3080 is generally within 1-17% of all benchmarks the rtx 3080 has shown.

I sure hope AMD/ATI do bring it with their cards.. and drivers! :)... hope they have more than 1 dude doing drivers.

If this is any true the 3070 is the 3000 series GPU to get. Still 2x what I'd pay for a GPU so I'll have to wait for small Navi next year.

There are also rumors of a card in between 3070 and 3080 based on GA102.

7424 Cude Cores
10GB gddr6x
320bit bus

The rest of the specs are unknown.

kieron fleming: Nice trolling kid, but he is right, totally useless benchmarks, second hand 2080Ti with more VRAM is win win
