Review: XFX Radeon RX 6700 XT MERC 319
Pitted against the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and 3070 we test XFX offering of the Radeon RX 6700 XT, in specific a rather THICK MERC 319 model. Things once again look good for this product series. Armed with a triple-fan cooler and a fully customized design XFX manages to deliver.

That's the new reality, thanks to COVID-19 and its domino effect of worldwide shipping and supply. That's why I'm pretty glad I'd jumped on a Nitro+ RX 6900 XT, though at that point in time when I'd paid about 1350USD for the card, I'd thought I was paying too much (even for a semi hardcore AMD fanboy).
But, looking at prices of RX 6900 XT's now, I guess I'd made the right'ish choice by getting it at the time I did. Surprisingly, supply of the RX 6900 XT's (and the RTX 3090) here in my neck of the woods is pretty decent, it's the ever skyrocketing prices that's proving to be a formidable hurdle. The price of the RTX 3090 did stagnate somewhat because it'd started off ridiculously overpriced to be begin with....at about 2000-2300USD.
It'll be nice to buy half decent cards at regular price. They're either unavailable or you get ripped off.

My GTX 1070 works when it wants to, and to get it working I found out is to unfortunately resort to physical abuse on the computer. Which I absolutely hate doing..... obviously.
All UK sellers have no stock, and am buggered if am going on fleabay.

Hi,
Thanks for the informative article! Can someone help me with a question please ?
I'm planning to buy the
$479 SWFT 309 Core Edition – No Overclock – 2.0 slot cooler –2321 Base, 2425MHz game, 2581MHz boost
as apparently it's available here and the cheapest. What does the "2.0 slot cooler" mean?
Thank you!
