Review: XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC 2

We test and review the new XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC 2 Pro. The Radeon RX 5600 XT is basically an RX 5700 however with 6GB of GDDR6 and lower clock frequencies. THICC 2 is a product that has not three but you're guessing it already eh? Two fans ..

"Sapphire Plus" Radeon RX 5600XT does NOT figure in the list of the foresaid benchmark.

The latter does better...... ~5-10 frames higher@stock...
----------------------
The bad for THICC 2: Not as fast as RTX 2060 or RX 5600 XT @ similar prices

The Good: Very Quiet (like my wife but.... :confused :)
----------------------
Thanks again for the nice review!

10 FPS is a bit far fetched but sure, XFX is not applying (yet) the 12 -> 14 Gbps tweak on memory. That can have that effect. XFX is still considering it, however, their R&D / QA teams all are still on extended leave due to the COVID-19 virus. So in the future, you might see a BIOS bringing in some extra perf.

Aesthetically it looks a lot like my XFX 5700 DD Ultra, which I paid roughly 40€ more, but at that time the 5600XT was yet to be released. Uhm, I don't know if I'd have purchased the 5600XT anyway... Needs still a little better pricing imho.

Bought one about 3 weeks ago and they are very good product. Flash the bios with the one from the thicc lll. Basically no difference in final clock speeds. Hoping to get leg up on memory speeds. Got a little than you did in the review not enough to be a barn burnner. As usual very good review. Just wait for a new bios. Cheers

btw why did it take them so long to send you a review board?
