Review: Palit GeForce GTX 970 Jetstream

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/25/2014 09:50 AM | source: | 7 comment(s)

We review the Palit GeForce GTX 970 Jetstream. With a boost clock of 1304 MHz the graphics card is set to perform alright. Palit had a mission, it was to make the product as silent as possible, and that they certainly achieved. The card has 4 GB graphics memory, is energy efficient and comes factory overclocked for you. Let's check it out shall well?

Runs hot like my Zotac 970. Poor cooling or bad fan profile.
So you can get silent at 80c or mid to upper 60s with noise with custom fan profile.

I'm sure you can just apply a custom sound profile to keep the temps at around 67 degrees like other cards. But if the throttle point is 80 degrees with the new Maxwell architecture then there really is no need. I've seen it going for £265 which is £30 cheaper than all the other 970's with the exclusion of NVidia's own.

Just bought mine for £264.95 + £7 for delivery. When I get it I'll check out the cooling profile etc. and report back. Only 2 left in stock though!
