Review: HP FX900 1 TB M.2 NVMe

HP is not a new competitor in the market of SSDs. This time, it’s an FX900 model we’ve received in a 1 TB variant. It’s manufactured with the assistance of BiWin and comes in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities. It’s aimed at the gamers, according to HP, and it would be fair to place this drive between “entry” and “mid-tier” levels.

yes, i had to talk a couple of people down when advising (co-building) their rig. it's easy to get folks to pay the premium to have the same brand. they all wanted "the latest" and thought i was a squirrelly geek (no comment) when i was steadfast at mix n' match volume sizes and brands

I have all kinds of mix matched stuff. I only got a 500GB NVME 4.0 because it was on sale for a steal. $75 last year.
I wanted to put my 960 in my threadripper as a cache drive for my 3tb for emulators/steam. It has some $40 NVME 250gb for OS.

I always have to tell people that they dont need a 980 pro or w/e for an OS drive if its just a gaming rig. Especially when its a budget build. Any 1GB read or write NVME will blow a Sata SSD away IMHO.
