Review: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming
Next to the flagship product we also test the more budget Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 SOC gaming graphics card. The product does not vary much from the 980 other than a chunk of performance. This card however has one 6 and one 8-pin power feed but then again, does come with a WindForce 3X cooler. The G1 Gaming has 4 GB graphics memory, is energy efficient and factory overclocked for you. You will be surprised by how this card looks, how silent it is and how well it performs.

Hey Hilbert Hagedoorn
I am just wondering, what made you give the 970 from Gigabyte 4 stars whilst the MSi and Palit's 970 have 4.9 stars?
Just curious, since I am currently planning on upgrading to a GTX 970 and I have mainly aimed my sights into the Gigabyte and MSi one (at same time selling my current card in use).
Oh wait... or are those star ratings from the readers? xD srry newbie here lol
Nice article on the 3 cards by the way.

Yeah, I am stuck between the two right now. Planning to buy them next week since its payday on friday
But still selling my old card which might take a while.
But between the likes and dislikes between the MSi's GTX 970 and Gigabytes GTX 970 are:
MSi GTX 970
Likes>
Nice epic looking cooler
Nice illuminated MSi dragon logo
Can OC really well with good temperatures
Fans silent mode when on idle
Black PCB
The price is really good I would just have to add 60 quid
Dislikes>
No back plate
(I don't know its kinda my thing now since my lightning as backplates and leds xD it just looks sexy) And I have bought an acrylic cut to size and drilled holes in it and replaced my Zalman case side panel for the full glass clear acrylic panel.
Gigabyte GTX 970>
Likes>
Nice epic looking cooler
Nice illuminated WF logo
Can OC really well with good temperatures (best temperature)
Black PCB
The sexy Backplate though!
Disikes>
Might be too long (my lightning right now barely fits my current case (have 2-3mm left of free space) and its 297mm long card)
The price is pretty high, its like a couple of penny's and it will be £300

I am just wondering, what made you give the 970 from Gigabyte 4 stars whilst the MSi and Palit's 970 have 4.9 stars?
It's just bulletin thread rating. Since you liked the reviews you can rate them 5 and up the score
