yep these benchmarks are very important. I remember back in the day when I had a OC HD3870 I just couldn't understand why my friend's reference stock 8800gt looked so much smoother (we had identical specs, both bought at the same time) yet the fps were very similar.

Especially in cross fire, the fps looked amazing but something just felt off. If the media didn't start doing tests like these then AMD would still be plagued by this today.

I appreciate these benchmarks because they aren't something the typical enthusiast can test for at all.

Looks like the 1070 is a solid card all around.

These are the results I actually want. FPS results are not anywhere near the value of this.

Consider doing some fraps frame capture stuff as well.

When doesn't AMD's hardware have horrible frame pacing?!? Seems to be a running concensus with them. I don't even want to start thinking of multiple cards from the red team....
