Review: Corsair H100i GTX

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/05/2015 09:25 AM | source: | 25 comment(s)

We test and review the all new Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX Series Liquid cooler. An all-in-one liquid CPU cooler for cases with 240mm radiator mounts. This updated revision CPU cooler is compatible with Corsair's LINK software. This allows you to program, customize and monitor this all-in-one liquid cooling solution for your processor. Armed with two SP120L PWM fans and a nice 240mm radiator the performance should be really good, and with Corsair's LINK built in, you can monitor temperatures, adjust cooling performance and customize LED lighting directly from your desktop.

Looks like a nice product but unless you can't fit a 280 I don't see any reason not to go for the h110i GT.

Performance is not bad, bit better than NH-D14/15. While it comes at around 25% higher price, but takes considerably less space.

This thing will make many happy users around.

On page 2 there some mix up of specs between H100i and H110i , In top paragraph

"The Hydro Series H100i GTX liquid CPU cooler pairs two 140mm fans with a 276x125x30 millimeter radiator to deliver CPU cooling in the most processor-intensive applications or quiet operation when the PC is idle. The H110i GT also features a new generation, high-efficiency cooling block with a striking new look with logo inserts on the block and radiator. Integrated Corsair Link support provides monitoring and customization of built-in logo lighting, fan speed, pump speed. As with all Hydro Series CPU coolers, the H100i GTX is completely self-contained, requires no maintenance or filling.

140mm x 322mm x 27mm aluminum radiator
Two SP120L 120mm high static pressure fans
Corsair Link support for customization and monitoring
Sleeved wide diameter, low evaporation rubber tubing
Support for Intel LGA 115x, 1366, 2011 and AMD AM2, AM3, FM1, FM2
5-year limited warranty
MSRP: $119.99

The included 140mm fans are custom-designed for high static pressure air delivery with minimum turbulence and noise. They’re PWM controlled, so you can customize the fan speed to find the optimal balance of cooling and noise.""

In bold are mixed ones between units .

if by less space you mean immediate space around CPU area, then yes. but rad with fans is rather large, probably takes up similar volume in cubic centimeters as D14/15 (or even more!), just placed a bit further from CPU.

also, don't forget numerious disadvantages of AIO coolers: very real possibility of leak (worst nightmare for everyone using AIO), additional pump noise and additional parts that can go wrong - fans, pump, tubes, rad, liquid.

maybe it's just me but increase in cooling performance is trivial compared to D15, not worth enough to be dealing with common disadvantaged associated with AIOs.

Good to see my H105 is still keeping up with these recent units. Best cooling unit I've owned so far :nerd:
