Hilbert do you know if they have plans to sell the USB dac separate? I have tons of dacs around, but would love one with the 7.1 emulated surround sound that I can use with my more comfortable headphones.

What is with the trend of headset manufacturers go balls out UGLY in their designs? Do yourselves a favour and forgo any more "PC" headsets and get yourself an HD558/598 with a VModa or Zalman attachable mic!

Or Antlion ModMic v4. And I agree that the HD5x8's are excellent versatile headphones that are good at gaming, music and movies.

When a pair of good headphones starts at 100 Euros (with discount, otherwise 150-200) you'we got to wonder what sacrifices are made in a headset like this that in addition to the headphones also includes a mic, an USB audio chip, "gaming" bling-bling and the software yet costs only 80-90 Euros.

Of all the virtualization solutions I have tried, none sounds even close to decent, all add extra reverb and screw up mid and highs, making the sound fatiguing and unnatural.
