so basically, if you sync your 4790k cores to all boost 4.4ghz, you probably won't even see a 5% improvement from Skylake? Seriously it's Haswell/Ivy Bridge/Broadwell all over again. Seems Sandy Bridge was the final proper upgrade for years to come

Good and in depth review as always. Nothing new under the sky here from Intel in terms of processor performance.
I guess this is the effect of amd not having anything competitive on the high end section. I will see what intel brings out next or if Zen delivers at least something.

Think it's safe to say you could probably keep it for the next 5 years, lol.
It's sad how they get roughly the same performance out of it, and it even uses a little more power, ahaha.
Look like.. I should keep my Non-K I5-3470? No upgrade this year?
