We review the ASUS Z170 Maximus VIII Extreme from the Republic of Gamers. The Maximus VIII Extreme is all about performance and features and comes armed with a new ROG black & grey design with red accents. Add to that of course the OC Panel and the hippest features of 2015.

Oc performance under par?

Are the shown oc benchmarks done @ 4,8 for comparison? If yes,why are the scores all below average at 4,8Ghz? It makes the product less appealing for the benchers and tweakers among us, when it consistently underperformes, even by al small margin, it is what it's all about when benching, right? Or am I missing something here?

It sure looks great, I like the new gray details, but the red always forces you to a red build.. Leave that black!

Nice review and enjoyed reading , thanks for your work .

Lovely looking board and lots of LEDs , but would one really need all those features ,for the extra cost and you properly wouldn't use the O/C panel thing after a few weeks , just set your O/C test and forget about it and get back on with your favorite game.
