Review: ASUS RoG Swift PG35VQ Monitor - 200 Hz - 512 Local Dimming Zones

In this review, we will take a look at some Ultra Wide slash HDR gaming as we have the ASUS RoG Swift PG35VQ in da house. At 3440 x 1440 pixels, this monitor can manage 200 Hz combined with 'G-sync Ultimate'. That eliminates stutter and tearing whilst gaming in HDR. That HDR is rated at 1000 nits and the panel has local dimming divided over 512 zones.

Read the review here.

Question on the 240Hz TV: does that TV do real 240Hz, or is it the fake Hz from interpolation?

All of those "240hz" 4K panels are just 120Hz panels with either black frame insertion or interpolation.

I have to assume next year the price will be more reasonable. This has to be one of those low production high price situations like when OLED first come out for TV's and they were all $10,000 or more. Speaking of OLED one can get a decent 65 inch OLED for the same price as this monitor which is just silly town. I really like the FALD concept and high refresh rate they just have to get the pricing to some sane level. I might go as high as $1,000 but that is about max I would be willing to spend I got better things I can drop 3K on.
