Review: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X and 7 2700X processor

It has been a long wait, but our first Zen+ reviews are ready and waiting, we take the new procs for a test ride. These puppies are running at up to 4.35 GHz and with up to eight cores and sixteen threads, that's not a bad thing at 229 and 329 USD.

Please show where this was said...links please?

Not knocking anyone but If you follow what AMD says, AMD pretty much said if Intel produces a CPU better than the 2700X, at that price point, AMD will release the 2800X. No idea what that chip could be unless it's a threadRipper kinda CPU. Not going to post links. It all over the interwebs.

Again......Edit: This could be fake news. Google it?

I have seen a few reviews now of the 2600 and 2700 non "X" chips matching their "X" versions. I need more reviews!

The 2600 and 2700 procs have been requested, I have an inbound package upcoming week from AMD, and 'think' it's a 2600.

There are some 2600 reviews out there, 90% of them, however, have simply faked the CPU results, e.g. took the 2600X and changed clocks in the BIOS and ran results. Few reviews are valid with an actual purchased one.

Thanks, I am pretty damn excited waiting for the 2700 (non X) review, not because of the OC potential to match the performance, but more like, is the X really worth the extra? At stock, that is. Sure, beefier cooler, but I'm not a big fan of that clip mounted cooler.

Guys up to 4000mhz memory support out the gate. I think we are going to see a lot more performance come soon.

Not sure where you're seeing this....?? Because there isn't one manufacturer on that list that has anything over 3200mhz..... Especially at four dimms populated.

Great to hear that Boss. I'm looking forward to those incoming reviews to see where those cpus stand once overclocked :)
