This^ I´ve been following hardware releases since the Phenom cpus and i don´t remember a situation like this where we have plenty of cpus to buy and no boards tos use them... What´s the point then???
AMD really need to talk to their board partners because AMD is the one being affected by this...
I feel like the motherboard partners in general are dropping the ball on this. Shortages + all the bios issues (the asus hero boards bricking). I wonder how much of it is them just not expecting the demand/not focused on the product vs AMD just giving them samples late and not having enough time to work out the issues. Even with the latter, I'd rather them just not release the board then ship broken garbage like they have been.

Have to say though, AMD did it to themselves. This is what has the possibility to happen when one drums up hype and then the product is not well perceived, aka faildozer. About the only reason they still have board partners is that the AM3+ socket lasted as long as it did. Once bitten, twice shy. This time the product lived up to the hype. No way anyone comes out of the previous mess created by AMD's marketing arm clean. Money does not buy trust.

Probably can't even find a board to review.. I'm most likely returning my 1800x but even if I wanted to keep it, the MSI board I pre-ordered for it still hasn't shipped out of Amazon yet. So the thing has been sitting in a box on my desk for nearly a week now. I check newegg/microcenter/few other retailers in the US frequently and aside from a few ASRock boards going in/out of stock, everything else is basically just empty.
Microcenter has like two dozen of each SKU of Ryzen in stock, but no boards.

Yeah I all my stuff is just waiting at the retailer which makes everything better for me. I got all the time to wait anyways. 13.3 it says motherboard should be there. Most likely it won't be. But oh well.. Been thinking I don't want the asus board because wth asus. But changing now would mean increasing wait time towards forever.
