Resident Evil Village (RE8) has been announced (incl trailer)

Capcom announced Resident Evil Village (aka Resident Evil 8) during a Sony event. The game will hit PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X sometime in 2021, and as the name suggests, we think it could take place in a village.

In-game you get the surroundings of a forest, a castle and some scary houses. Ethan, the protagonist of RE7, is back; With him, Chris Redfield, one of the most beloved characters in the franchise, also returns, although this time he will not be the hero. The trailer allows us to take a look at some of the game's characters and monsters, including a creature reminiscent of a werewolf and what appears to be a witch. Here is the trailer :

Although it was announced during the event of the PlayStation 5, the official website of Resident Evil 8: Village indicates that it also will be released for PC (via Steam ) and Xbox X Series. It is also worth mentioning that the page specifies that the launch in 2021 is subject to change. The studio will offer more details about the game sometime in August.

Doggone it man, it looks like they are staying with the same type of horror approach as they had in RE7. For me that means plenty of scares, and NOT enough guns. Put another way, I want lots of fire power to go with the scares!
