Renders of AM5 socket for AMD Zen 4 processors

Zen 4 processors will use a land grid array (LGA) socket, according to Twitterer ExecutableFix. Raphael chips would also reportedly have a heat spreader with recesses to accommodate more capacitors.

In a new rendering, this time of the full LGA1718 socket and mounting mechanism, the Twitter user has shared his work. There are no screws on the Threadripper or Epyc chips. As with the processors in the blue camp, a cover and lever are used. Unfortunately, no new information has been released besides the renders. When AMD announced its quarterly results a few days ago, CEO Lisa Su confirmed that the next generation of Zen processors is on track. These chips will be available in 2022, along with the RDNA 3 video cards.

I mean, learn to put the conductive paste or use normal one.
If you are the level of choosing the best thermal paste, you should have learned how to put it.
No?

Such shape may provide better force transfer. I doubt they'd come up with such thing without any reasons.
If you're concerned about metal pastes, you may use conformal coating.

The capacitors look pretty low. Should be easy to put a protective coating on them.

Let's hope they will come prepared for that by manufacturer.
I can already see nice looking second hand cpus on Ebay, all gaps full of thermal paste...or gaps filled up with silicone sealant :D
