Microsoft Surface-laptop costs 1149 euro (updated)

Microsoft just announced their new Surface-laptop. A Microsoft insider earlier today already posted the content on Twitter. The new laptop will get a 13.5" screen and will be available in several models. Below the fold we'll walk through them.

The new Surface-laptop will get "Windows 10 S", synonym for what would be Microsoft Windows 10 Cloud. The OS basically runs Windows APPs only and does not offer support for your usual windows win32 applications. The new Surface-laptop weight in a 1.25kg and is 1.5cm thick at the rear, and 10mm at the front. The Surface-laptop will get a 3.4 million pixel display. looking at the photos that would be 3:2 and thus roughly a 2256x1504 pixels resolution.

The cheapest model will get a Core i5 proc, 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. You can opt higher products with a Core i7 and SSD storage up-to 1 TB and DDR4 RAM up-to 16 GB. The Surface laptop is designed for Windows 10 S, however can be upgraded towards Windows 10 pro (at extra cost).  The prices start at 999 USD / 1149 Euro with color options blue, silver, gold and red. Core i7 models will become available in August.

When you compare the two app stores, then, you see the difference. There's no comparison tbh.


Yeah its a shame the Microsoft store doesn't have 50,000 fart apps
