Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Launch Trailer, Screenshots and no RTX
Right, there's quite a bit of news for this title. First off, the PC release will not be RTX optimized, meaning there's no DXR Raytracing active.
There was a bit of confusion about it as the game got promoted with some PC screenshots holding an RTX logo, as it turned out it was merely to promote the RTX 20 series GPUs, nothing more. Good news though as the PC version will get better visuals than its console counterpart though. Features include increased draw distances for better navigation, higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting, and higher quality snow trails. Furthermore, the game will have improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances. Tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures will be also added for extra realism.
We have a launch trailer as well as some screenshots for you to peek at. Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out on the PC on November 5th.

No RTX? So what, nobody cares about RTX anyway!
Just to point out, the cards are called RTX, so yes, the game will be optimized for them, Game Ready driver incoming :p
Ummm, no sorry, that's not how it works
Yeah, an giving the fact that all are now digital copies at this rate soon this will happen:

Are you still on dial up or something?
Even here, in Australia, where our internet is relatively slow, I can download a 150Gb game overnight, 6-8 hours. What's the big deal? I mean either you get used to it, or stop playing games. Hell, you may as well stop using the internet if yours is so slow!
