Planex introduced the GPE-2500-2T and GPE-2500-4T PCIe 2.5GbE multi-port LAN cards, each port is powered by a Realtek RTL8125B, which the company says is the world's lowest power usage processor.

When compared to the RTL8125, the power consumption is lowered to 700mW or less, a savings of nearly 50%. Additionally, it supports IEEE802.3az (Energy Efficient Ethernet), which reduces the power consumption of ports that are not in use. By reducing heat generation, stable operation is feasible. Additionally, on the PC side, an ASMedia ASM1806 with PCIe Gen.2 x 2 bandwidth is placed on the PCI-Express bus bridge controller. With the sense of security provided by local manufacturers, it appears as though it may be

  • The two-port variant "GPE-2500-2T" is compatible with the PCI-Express 2.1 bus interface (x1). Externally, it is 101 mm broad, 63 mm wide, and 18 mm high, and weighs around 48 g. 5W is the maximum power usage (82 USD)
  • The four-port variant "GPE-2500-4T" is compatible with the PCI-Express 2.1 bus interface (x4). Externally, it is 111 mm broad, 69 mm wide, and 19 mm high, and weighs around 78 g. 7W is the maximum power usage. (135 USD)

All operating systems are compatible with Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7, Windows Server 2022/2019/2016/2012 R2/2012, and Linux Kernel 5.6. With bracket that has low profile.
