Real-time Virtual 3D Teleportation (video)

Real-time Virtual 3D Teleportation (video)

It's kinda cool. Holoportation is a new type of 3D capture technology that allows high-quality 3D models of people to be reconstructed, compressed and transmitted anywhere in the world in real time.

When combined with mixed reality displays such as HoloLens, this technology allows users to see, hear, and interact with remote participants in 3D as if they are actually present in the same physical space. Communicating and interacting with remote users becomes as natural as face-to-face communication.

I'm fairly certain the pron industry sees massive potential here ;)

There're no known words in any language known to man to express how absolutely, exceptionally, extraordinary, brilliantly amazing this is.

A true step forward to the future!

Eh, at least camera girls might find it useful.

Very Cool

Awesome, some day all the stuff will be miniaturized and the resolution way up and it will truly be awesome. I hope I live long enough to experience it.
