Razer Orbweaver mechanical Keypad
Razer releases the Orbweaver, a new keypad with 20 fully programmable mechanical keys and an 8-way thumbpad. The device comes with adjustable hand, thumb and palm-rest modules and supports Razer's Synapse 2.0. Pricing is pretty high though, Razer asks $129.99 for this device. It's immediately available in the Razer Store and will ship worldwide in Q1 2013.
Razer™, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, software and systems, today announced the release of the Razer Orbweaver, a customizable, mechanical gaming keypad designed with tournament-grade controls, ergonomics and full customizability.
Building on the huge success of its predecessor, the Razer Nostromo®, the Razer Orbweaver lets gamers bind an infinite number of controls to 20 mechanical keys and a programmable eight-way directional thumb-pad. Only 50 g of force is required to trigger each key, ensuring that commands are executed as fast as users’ fingers can act—and faster than the enemy can react. The thumb-pad can be used for movement or as a modifier for endless combinations. Armed with the Razer Orbweaver, gamers will be able to rapidly fire a vast number of spells, macros and abilities at their helpless foes, and they’ll be able to do so with hyper-responsive speed and efficiency.
In addition to its inherent technical merits, the Razer Orbweaver also delivers comfort over extended hours of play with its adjustable rests modules for the thumb, palm and wrist. Each of these parts can be slid back and forth or tilted to suit any hand curvature or size, allowing every gamer to customize a perfect fit.
“The Razer Orbweaver is the ultimate gauntlet of game control,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director. “The feeling of having every command at hand to destroy the competition in so many different ways is just sublime, and the tactile feedback and fast key actuation from the mechanical key architecture gives you a feeling of satisfaction and an added edge in the games you play.”

If someone buys it, then ok... but the mechanical keyboards are expensive mostly because their switches cost a lot. I expected this product to be cheaper because it features less keys. However it costs as much as their Blackwidow full-size mechanical keyboard, which is way better option in my opinion. Just get some wrist rest if you're worried about your hands health.

i actually wanted to buy this but like everybody said that price is ridiculous, Nostromo was great i owned it but sold it pretty fast cause i couldn't get used to the less buttons in the keypad area especially MMORPGs

I currently have Microsoft Natural Keyboard 4000, and it's so comfortable - it's like Nostromo, but full-sized. The problem is that it's not as precise as mechanical keyboards and it degrades over time.
So I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard to replace it, and it won't be Orbweaver, as it's too specialized. The mechanical split keyboards are too rare and expensive, so I'll probably get Roccat Ryos or Razer Blackwidow along with wrist rest, so the wrists are a little above the fingertips, like in MS Natural 4000, and I'd recommend the same to you.

$130? Even $30 would be ridiculous for what they're offering. And it comes with Razer quality, meaning it's horrible. Their mice are okay, I've used some and I still use a Lachesis, but their keyboards are below garbage quality from my experiences.

The price is too high. One can get a full mechanical, programmable keyboard for less (see Corsair Vengeance K90 ).
