Raja Koduri, the chief architect and senior vice president of the Core and Visual Computing Group responsible for GPUs and accelerators, has announced his departure from Intel. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger thanked Koduri for his contributions to Intel's high-performance graphics, especially his leadership of the team responsible for Intel Arc GPUs.

Koduri will leave at the end of this month to focus on a generative AI software company for gaming, media and entertainment. Koduri joined Intel in 2017 and was previously the head of Intel's Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group until late last year. He then became Intel's chief architect for GPUs and accelerators. Before joining Intel, Koduri spent four years at AMD, where he was the Radeon Technology Group's senior vice president and chief architect. He also worked at Apple between 2009 and 2013 on graphics chips and was the chief technical officer at AMD's graphics division from 2001 to 2009.
