Rainbow Six Siege PC System requirements

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege needed a little more time, but that December 1 release date is coming up fast. With that in mind, Ubisoft has released the required PC specs for the upcoming squad-based shooter.

Rainbow Six Siege has been delayed to a December 1 release date. Originally set to release on October 13, Ubisoft has announced it is pushing the release in order to further smooth out and improve several needed adjustments across all gamemodes.

So for those preparing to jump in with friends, here's what your PC will need:

  • Windows 7 64-Bit edition, Windows 8.1 64-Bit edition, Windows 10 64-Bit edition
  • Intel Core i3-560 @ 3.3 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 945 @ 3.0 GHz or better
  • 6GB RAM or more
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870 (DirectX 11 @ 1GB or better)
  • 30GB hard drive space or more
  • DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card

Recommended Requirements

  • Windows 7 SP1 64-Bit edition, Windows 8.1 64-Bit edition, Windows 10 64-Bit edition
  • Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8120 @ 3.1 GHz or better
  • 8GB RAM or more
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 670/GTX 760/GTX 960 or AMD Radeon HD 7970/R9 280X (DirectX 11 @ 2GB or better)
  • 47GB hard drive space or more
  • DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card
The Ubi Blog is also noting that the GeForce GTX460, GTX560, GTX650, GTX750, and the GT900 and Titan Series will be supported. In addition to those Nvidia cards, AMD's Radeon HD5870, HD6870, HD7770, R7 260X, and any AMD card from the R-300 series and Fury X will also work

More like language packs and redistributables.

Example, FO4 is only 25gb but with all the language packs it's almost 40gb.

Only 25gb? FO3 was 8gb if im not mistaken.. So that 25gb is a lot considering how ****ty it looks. :P

Why would you need all the language packs though?

Note that redistributals are very small in size so it's never that

CS 1.6 is still best you can get today if you look for MP-FPS where skill matters most.
Errr no. Far from it. Arma. CS is arcade and not skill based at all. It's just an arcade shooter with no ADS and not realistic in the slightest. Ping matters more than skill lol

Please, stay away from this style of posting. You're posting your personal opinion about CS Vs Arma as it was a confirmed fact, when in reality you have absolutely no data to support your statement.

Trolling is bad and unwelcome.

Regarding the size of game install, it's difficult to justify it. It's pretty much the size of Battlefield 4. Perhaps they opted for uncompressed audio as in Titanfall, or maybe textures will be much higher resolution than what we've seen so far. Prerendered videos might take so much space, but with no story mode, there won't be many. The rest of the requirements don't look that bad. Yet, this game will require constant 60fps+ rate.

What worries me a lot is that there's a very high risk that without proper balancing or with hardcore team play, but without good communication (as in Brink), the game will die soon. It may be one of the best tactical team shooters when played with clanmates, but I fail to see its value when playing with some random people. I haven't played beta, so perhaps I'm completely wrong.
