Radeon RX 6700 Series rumored to get released late March

Radeon RX 6700 Series rumored to get released late March

With BiG Navi reviews and releases out of the way, next in line is, of course, the mainstream to high-end segmented Radeon RX 6700 graphics card series.

In specific this would be NAVI22 based, and AMD to date has been silent about it.  You can expect an RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT, of course, and yes, we do expect full RDNA2 support by way of Ray Tracing. Technical details of the cards, however, are scarce and remain in the rumor domain.

However, the colleagues from Cowcoland share the word that the two new AMD graphics cards are scheduled for the end of the first quarter of this year, that's late March. RX 6700 XT would be based on a NAVI 22 XT GPU, likely 40 CUs/2560 SP. The memory should total 12 GB 192 bits. For the RX 6700, the same chip, yet reconfigured, is used, NAVI 22 XL. Here specs remain unclear.

Awesome. More hardware most people won't be able to get their hands on until many months later.

I would like to say I don't want to wait and will buy a 3060 Ti instead, but who am I kidding? Even if I ordered one today, I might only get it when that 6700 is also (supposedly) released.

They might as well "release" it today. Stock will be non existent for months anyway.
