Radeon Pro Duo Performance Benchmarks

Over at expreview some performance numbers of the Radeon Pro Duo have appeared on-line, a dual-Fiji GPU based card. The Radeon Duo Pro with its two FIJI GPUs are tied towards a thick 120mm liquid cooling solution.

The product will offer 16 teraflops of performance, indicating two fully enabled Fiji XT GPUs. AMD Radeon Pro Duo (dual-GPU Fiji) was developed under code-name Gemini would have 8 GB HBM1 graphics memory with a whopping 8192 stream processors.

Performance numbers for the Radeon Pro Duo were released by Expreview. Anyway, have a peek, click on the thumbnails.

The first time I read an article here on Guru3d about this product my first thought was that this product is flawed in as much that it's too late to market & also only about 25% faster than their previous dual GPU flagship (the 295x2) - so to me this product was already an anticlimax, but it does seem that AMD now also agree!

I'm not seeing any logic in the physical release of the product at all, given the gpu's used, and the literal release of new product/gpu in approximately 2 to 4 months.

This cards primary purpose is VR development. Sure one can game with it... but not the primary purpose.
