QNAP launched the QXP-1600eS-A1164 SATA extension board with PCI-Express3.0 (x8) connectivity. This product was designed for JBOD-compatible storage enclosures and comes equipped with four SATA controllers and four SFF-8644 connectors.
Each SFF-8644 connector supports four SATA disks, while a single board supports up to sixteen SATA drives. The card is 117.72 mm in length, 68.9 mm in width, and 18.26 mm in thickness, and the package includes three bracket styles: full height, low profile, and QNAP NAS. QTS 4.5.4 or later, QuTS hero h4.5.4 or later, Windows 8 or later, Windows Server 2012 R2 or later, and Linux Kernel 3.10 or later are all supported.
