QNAP QM2-2P2G2T expansion card adds two 2.5G LANs and two M.2 SSDs each

QNAP announced the QM2-2P2G2T series of expansion cards that can add two 2.5-gigabit LANs and two M.2 SSDs. The card is suited for their NAS units, but also can be used on a PC with Windows 10 / Windows Server and Linux.



The network controller is compatible with Intel I225-LM, the SSD is compatible with NVMe M.2 SSD (bandwidth is PCI-Express3.0x2) of M.2 2280 form factor, and an active heat sink for cooling the SSD and controller is installed. The product also comes with two types of brackets, low profile, and full height. The external dimensions are width 68.9 mm, length 152.65 mm, and thickness 20.6 mm. The OS supports Windows 10 (Ver1809 or later), Linux (Kernel 4.20 / 5.x), and Windows Server 2019.

 The card can be purchased for roughly 200 USD/EUR.
