Intel's Comet Lake-S line of desktop processors is getting closer and closer for public availability. What always happens prior to release is that prices leak here and there. And yeah, this round that is not any different.

The prices for the 14nm based 8-core Core 17 10700, 10700K and 10-core Core i9 10900  have been spotted at DirectDial, which is a Canadian PC (r)etailer. If the pricing will remain to be like this then Ryzen might still be the proper way to go, then again in the past leaked prices always have been odd and off a bit. 

Once converted from CAD towards USD you're looking at this, and remember purchasing a new motherboard will be mandatory is the processers get a new socket to seat in, LGA1200:

• Core i9-10900 (10 cores / 20 threads, 2.8 GHz to 5.2 GHz): $679 CAD = $489 USD
• Core i7-10700K (8 cores / 16 threads, 3.8 GHz to 5.1 GHz): $585 CAD = $419 USD
• Core i7-10700 (8 cores / 16 threads, 2.9 GHz to 4.8 GHz): $506 CAD = $364 USD
