The card is probably still running the Fiji driver, and since it's a new arch, it's probably a long way off being ready to show its true performance. Was purposely tested with a low level API. Tomb Raider is an nVIDIA game, and Deus Ex won't run that well in 4K. BF1 has issues in DX12 and some other games are still beta with their DX12 build.

Vulkan is also still very much wip and mobile orientated right now.
Is it a possibility that all the new fancy tech in these GPU's is more of a priority to AMD than all out speed?
Maybe they do just want to bring out a card that is around 1080 performance in DX12/Vulkan, at around 1080 prices.
Since i don't play either game, but i do know they both run on Frostbite.
Why SW Battlefront over BF1?
Devs are still learning how to use DX12/Vulkan, and neither api will take off until everyone is getting improvements.

Agree but it doesn't matter man. Vulkan and dx12 are the future so saying that Vulkan is just Mantle doesn't make any sense tbh
OpenGL and DX11 will be relics in 1 year time.
How many years will it be, before we have a decent amount of Vulkan, and Dx12 games out (and proper Dx12 games, not just Dx11 ones that have had it patched in later)
Mantle is now Vulkan, as i said, AMD done that, as they needed it to get near/beat Nvidias Dx11 performance, but when Nvidia brought out a new Dx11 driver, that even smashed that, AMD got rid of it, to Kronos, who then called it Vulkan, and got Nvidia cards to run as well, as Nvidia wouldn't touch it under AMD.
