PowerColor Teases Radeon RX Vega 64 Red Devil Priced 666 Euros (Updated)
There definitely is some more activity with custom AMD Radeon X Vega boards. The next in line is PowerColor who is showing a Vega 64 based on a custom design and cooler, the Red Devil is coming at ya.
In specific, the product is the Red Devil 64 which is fitted with a proper size three fan cooling solution. As spotted, it has two sets of micro DIP switches, the one to the far left is a triple-BIOS switch. As to why three BIOSes are implemented, who knows. Perhaps a mining BIOS?
The second switch can be used to control the LED lighting for Red Devil logo (likely on/off). Judging from it, the PCB is fairly similar to the reference design (but isn't one), so I'll reserve any judgment on that for now, it seems a bit wider than 17cm though, to make room for the cooler mount. The Red Devil comes fitted with two DisplayPorts as well as two HDMI connectors.
Update November, 21: an etailer posted a photo and specs on the Radeon RX VEGA 64 DEVIL 8GB, it is slightly overclocked with a Core Clock: 1417MHz Boost Clock: 1607MHz. Availability still remains TBA, the card is available for preorder at 590 GBP, which in today's ironic exchange rate is 666 Euro ;-)
There's a Dragon coming as well
We confirmed with PowerColor that a custom RX Vega 56 Red Devil is also in the works as well as a Red Dragon version. The Red Dragon version will likely be the more value proposition and gets a dual-fan cooler, opposed to the triple fan solution of the Red Devil.
The Red Devil series will become available in the next few weeks. Anyone fancy a Devil?

It will just get so hot that a devil would feel very comfortable sitting on it, as if it was back home downstairs.

Honestly, I know people like to rag on Powercolor gpus but I have only had the best of luck with them. Starting with my R9 290X and now my RX 480 Red Devil modded to a RX 580 Red Devil. Also it seems that the last driver update did the usual AMD magic or it might of been also the new windows 10 insider build 17040 that just came out. I was testing my PC yesterday after these updates and having just received my RMA replacement Ryzen 1700X and noticed a huge jump in 3dmark firestike and other benchmarks. Yes my GPU is quite overclocked, tweeaked with bios modding and using an old AIO cpu cooler I had but still that was a huge jump in performance.
