BenchLeaks recently identified two undisclosed AMD processors with a unique CPU family ID, speculated to be linked to the Zen5 architecture.
The veracity of these findings, however, remains to be validated. The processors share the full OPN (AMD product number) "00-000001290-11_N," an identifier divergent from previous Ryzen CPUs, such as the latest known SKUs Phoenix (Ryzen 7040HS). The standout feature in this revelation is the Family ID of 26, as the preceding Family ID 25 (19H) was assigned to the Zen3 and Zen4, and Family ID 24 (18H) covered Zen2, Zen+, and Zen. The emergence of Family ID 26 hints at a potential new architecture. These processors' benchmark scores were unearthed on distributed computing platforms einstein@home and LHC@home, both carrying the same OPN code. The CPU configuration is identified as having 8 cores and 16 threads. One system employed a Radeon RX 7900 GPU, whereas the other system seemed to be operating with an unidentified Radeon Graphics co-processor. The mysterious SKU appears to be a prototype CPU model with 8 cores and 16 threads, characterized by the AMD product number (OPN) "00-000001290-11_N," which diverges from the identifiers of all currently available products. BenchLeaks' stipulation of Family ID 26 implies its likely connection to the "Zen 5" designation, given that Family ID 25 (19H) was associated with the Zen 3 and 4 architectures. The suspected AMD test systems were reportedly running on yet-to-be-released graphics hardware. An entry from LHC@home exhibited a Radeon RX 7900 GRE GPU with a 16 GB memory, whereas einstein@home’s data dump referenced an undefined Radeon unit with 12 GB of graphics memory, speculated to be a mid-range RX 7000-series card.
