Images of what appears to be the packaging for Intel's twelfth generation core processors, also known as Alder Lake, have appeared on the internet. Intel appears to be providing a wafer for the packaging of the Core i9-12900K processor.

According to the renders published by Videocardz, the packaging of the twelfth generation Core i9, Core i7, and Core i5 processors is very similar to the packaging of the prior generation processors. The site does not currently show a rendering of the Alder Lake Core i3 processor's packaging.

Unlike its predecessor, however, the Core i9-12900K with unlocked multiplier, the most powerful CPU available at the time of Alder Lake's launch, is packaged differently than its predecessor. The fact that it comprises a tiny wafer suggests that users may choose to set it near their computers on their desks.

It is not totally surprising that there is no photograph of the Core i3 package available at this point. According to rumors, just three Alder Lake processors will be available at launch: the Core i5s, i7s, and i9s in K and KF configurations. The latter, on the other hand, do not have an integrated GPU. According to reports, Intel will release the desktop chips on November 4th. All of the processors are based on Intel 7, which has been called the 10nm+ SuperFin technology, and they are capable of supporting DDR5 and PCIe Gen5.
